We are proud to present:
Deep bass, epic middle-eastern synth lines, heavy beats, live percussion and multilingual rap combine to make 47SOUL a unique musical experience that are taking the world by storm. Their April music video hit a million views in under 24 hours and they haven't looked back since. We first hosted 47SOUL at our Eastern Circus Spectacular and they have since headlined our Friday at Wilderness Festival.
Overcoming physical and logistical challenges, 47SOUL write and perform to speak about freedom of movement, whether that’s sparking new dance styles or singing about breaking down border check points. For the past 2 years the band has based itself between Jordan and the UK, to spread their new wave of Arabic music.
Their sound is rooted in Arabic Dabke, the celebration dance music from the Bilad Al-Sham area; the name for the land that spans Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan. The electronic and urban influence in their music takes them far out of the ‘world music’ context and places them in the genre of a new generation of international electronic/hip hop acts that are reinventing the old for the future. This new sound of 47SOUL is called ShamStep.
Afriquoi are an African dance music experience, fusing Congolese guitar + Gambian kora virtuosity with UK electronic sensibilities to create captivating, beautiful, dancefloor- friendly new music for a new generation of world music fans with one foot in the clubs.
An underground sensation bringing an uplifting fusion of African music and live electronics, drawing on house, soca, hiphop, soul + jungle to create something entirely unique. On the night expect only the heaviest beats and the rarest grooves.
FAITH I BRANKO
