The brain-child of saxophonist/composer Leroy Horns. This five-piece groove based band combine the energy and intensity of dance music with the spontaneity and freedom of a live improv group. Drums, baritone sax, trombone and two tenor saxes use Leroy's original pieces as springboards to carry the listener to somewhere different each time. Past gigs have included Jazz:Refreshed, London, and a headline slot on the 'Bandstand' stage at Love Supreme Festival.

“spectacular artists doing some incredible work” - The Playground
Alabaster’s combination of jazz/folk with theatrical performance reassures with behaviour and sound while it challenges with thoughts and words. The quartet performance described as “The best artistic event I have ever experienced in my life” on the Manchester Jazz Festival website has also toured solo internationally. Combining a fluency in communication and a sharp sense of humour he collaborates with a fresh ensemble of musicians each month in his East London residency ‘Peach’, presenting instrumentals, songs and theatrical scripts that adapt and interact with the musicians, the audience and the occasion, in a bid to allow all in attendance to enjoy the value and effect of their own presence and personality. He is currently working with DaNaLoGuE (The Comet is Coming) and others at the Total Refreshment Centre on a release for 2017.

“passionate, creative, unique, thought-provoking and delightful.” – Bido Lito Liverpool
"Alabaster is a rare man. Restlessly creative, collaborative and eternally grateful of his part in the game. He has written some of my favourite songs. Part performance poet, part Leonard Cohen, part jazz saxophonist and something of the Ivor Cutler - yet these comparisons mean next to nothing. He will bless a room with his unpredictable presence and all are hypnotised. Do not miss." – Daniel Green, LAISH, Willkommen & Simple Folk Radio

'an adventurous debut, a concept album exploring the mythic qualities of birds, along with hushed electro-pop backdrops from producer MaJiKer. Andrew's vocals are suitably airy and larkish… English avant-folk at its finest' The Observer

'One of the most original albums of traditional folk songs that you'll hear this year… exceptional' fRoots
