Pongo was only 15 when she featured on ‘Kalemba (Wegue Wegue)’, the Buraka Som Sistema hit that introduced the world to Angola’s electronic kuduro music back in 2008. Since then, she’s created a club-ready sound of her own, rapping in Portuguese, Portuñol and Kimbundu over a mix of kuduro, techno, dancehall and pop beats.
