LILA
LILA is a Hackney‑raised DJ, broadcaster and curator of French heritage, based in London, whose eclectic sets fuse jazz‑ and Latin‑inflected broken beat, soulful house, UK funky and percussive bass‑driven grooves. She began her journey at 18 as a presenter on her local East London station, interviewing musicians and championing emerging local talent, and quickly discovered a passion for DJing that led her onto club dancefloors and airwaves alike.
A proud Rinse FM resident, Lila holds down a bi‑weekly slot showcasing deep soulful selections, fresh promos and her signature rhythmic voyage cementing her reputation as a tastemaker in London’s underground scene. In 2023 she joined the Brighter Days Family collective, linking up local friends to bring positive energy to clubrooms and communities alike. Since then, she’s shared the Brighter Days stage at celebrated festivals including We Out Here, Outlook and Meadows in the Mountains.
She has also hosted Boiler Room events within Manchester and Leeds, for both The Warehouse Project and Beaverworks, bringing her dynamic energy to a global online audience.
Alongside her collective work, Lila is the founder and promoter of Braindance Events (est. 2021), a Leeds–London night dedicated to broken beat, UK funky and forward‑thinking house lineups that prioritize gender balance and respect in nightlife. Whether behind the decks or behind the scenes, she remains committed to uplifting crews and crowds with her deeply musical, rhythm‑first approach.
