Trumpet by Poppy Daniels

Beats + Percussion by Alma

Trumpet player Poppy Daniels comes together with producer / percussionist Alma, to bring a very special sonic experience with a unique live performance of ‘De La Selva’:

A journey through different landscapes and natural textures, aims at what’s essential; a spiritual and contemplative search, that travels through water based sonic ambiences, to tracks that bounce over bass lines, from indigenous chants, to ritual dances. Elements of rap, jazz, latin, psychedelia, and more make a unique sonic experience from its detail and spiritual impact.

De La Selva is a viceral project for Alma: he was free on the thinking process, and empirical in the creation one. It is a project for healing, therapy and internal release for those you hear it, aswell as for its creator. He’s work as a music producer sometimes ties him to certain structures depending on the artist he works with, their audience, their musical genre, etc. Therefore his work under Alma, and through a project like De La Selva, allowed him to create organically, without much thought process behind. This is why, every song on De La Selva becomes an adventure which transmits a sense of freedom.
