ALEX COSMO BLAKE
Alex Cosmo Blake is a composer, guitarist, and producer from South London. Alex has forged a name for himself performing alongside multi-disciplinary artists such as as Greentea Peng, Loyle Carner, Anaiis, Lex Amor, Kokoroko, Hagan, and Project Karnak.
His work as a composer and producer alongside artists such as 6lack, Joy Crookes, Skepta, Jhus, Nao, and Louis Culture is only a brief insight into his unique voice. Alex’s first musical offering serves as a window that gives listeners a glimpse and insight into his layered journey so far, a journey of musical transcendence and self-discovery, that transports the listener to place of escapism.
The body of work contains illustrious, rich, climatic, and imaginative instrumental pieces that blend elements of the contemporary classical music heard in Studio Ghibli soundtracks, the melodic sensibilities found in Koto music, the grainy dark lens of Burial, the “sweetness” of Usher, the explorative nature of contemporary Jazz, and delicacy of Japanese architecture.
